Reverse Applique: Dragonflies in Flight Wall Hanging
You will learn:
• Learn about focus and precision with stitching.
• Understand the importance of using fine tools to create a fine finish.
• Learn how to use reverse applique.
Supplies:
- Pattern – Dragonflies in Flight (Available from Quilters HQ: Cost $12.00)
- Sewing machine with an open-toed (applique) foot
- Fine point sewing scissors that snip to the tip, preferably applique scissors
- Lightbox, if you have one. There will be a couple in the classroom.
- Marking pen or pencil
- Needle and thread for basting or pins - straight and safety Coordinated thread top stitching on the applique fabric
- Please PRE-WASH all your fabrics.
- Background fabric - ¾ yard - recommend batik for a tighter weave
- Applique fabric - ¾ yard - recommend batik for a tighter weave
- Backing fabric - ¾ yard your choice
- Batting 27 x 39 - I highly recommend 100% cotton or other low-loft batting!
