Learn to Sew
Join us for a 3-session course to begin your sewing journey. Our class will meet for 3 consecutive weeks for 2 hours. We will complete 3 projects to include a decorative throw pillow with button closure and knife edge finish, a fun pillow case with all inside seams enclosed just like fine linens, and a small zipper make-up pouch. We will cover rotary cutting, buttonholes, and zipper insertion.

Supplies Class 1: 2 cotton fat quarters and 3 buttons ¾” Class 2: 3 cotton fabrics - 1 yard for main fabric, ¼ yard for pillow case cuff, and 1/8 yard for accent piece. Class 3: 2 cotton fat quarters, 1/3 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing, and a 14” nylon zipper. |

| Instructor Bio: | Mary has been sewing for over 60 years and has made all her clothes since she was in the 8th grade. For the past four years, she has taught beginner sewing, garment sewing, bag making, and various projects, including pillows, table toppers, placemats, and other home decor items. Mary is knowledgeable about all major brands of sewing machines, embroidery machines, sergers, and cover stitch machines. Additionally, she has over 40 years of experience teaching in public high schools. |
